Tuesday, November 17My house smells strangely of cigarettes and other news
As I'm sure you gathered from the title, for some weird reason, my house smells like cigarettes. That reminded me of the fact that I used to smoke, but quit a year and a half ago. So why is it that I got lots of "Good job"s and pats on the back for it then, when I had only not smoked for a few hours or days or whatever, but now that it's all kinds of official, I really don't smoke anymore, why is it that I get nothing!?!

Not really, but it would be nice if people (myself included) remembered the cool shit other people do after the fact. With that in mind, I want to publicly thank my parents for raising decent human beings who are fully capable of handling day to day life, even when day to day life sucks a lot. Sure, they were more or less done raising us a few years ago. Marshall, the baby of the family, turned 18 like five years ago (is that right? I can't remember exactly how old he is. To be fair, I often forget exactly how old I am, too, so it's not an indication that I don't love my brother), and Cedar is practically as old as I am now (I can just hear her now, "yeah, nice way of saying that you don't know how old your sister is, too, Heather"), so I think it's fair to say they're finished with us. We all turned out okay, emotionally stable(ish), mostly intelligent, and not a one of us is a serious drug addict or serial murderer, or a failure at life in any significant way. Mom, Dad, excellent work.
Also, Tim's Mom and Dad, I appreciate you raising your boy to not suck. I think I'm going to keep on keeping him. I like the little guy.
Zoe is the cutest dog ever. It's not really news, because everyone is already fully aware of the stunning awesomeness of the Zoetron, but I still felt I should include it. It may or may not be because she's snoring very loudly at my feet right this second that I'm being reminded. (Okay, that's totally why.)
I was given a book today called "Skinny bitch, bun in the oven". I haven't started reading it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be awesome. How could you possibly go wrong with a title like that? Seriously.
It's fall. I can tell, because Tim's fingers are all skinned and scratchy from climbing too much. I'm bitter, because my fingers are getting softer and smoother by the day. It's not fair that climbing isn't a good idea for pregnant women. Who the hell designed this process? "Hey, just so you know, you're going to get this awesome, adorable baby, but before that, you're going to have to get fat, cry for no reason at random and generally inappropriate times, and stop doing almost every single thing that you love about your life. Aaaaand... GO!"
It's a good thing I like this baby already, because otherwise, I would think he was a real pain in the ass.
Now I'm going to go sprawl on the couch and not move for at least three hours. Maybe more.
